Buying Nursing Bras Online

I have had many inquiries as of late in terms of purchasing nursing bras on-line.

I must admit, as a professional bra-fitter, I don’t recommend this is an optimal way to purchase a bra. First of all, you are not having the benefit of a professional fitting, which I think is of the utmost importance. Ladies, if you have a specialty shop in your area, get yourselves in there to be properly fitted for a bra! You won’t regret the experience!

So, what do you do if you don’t have a shop in your area to go to? First off, I wouldn’t recommend going to a manufacturer (i.e. someone like myself who manufactures a bra line) who sells their own brand of bra on their website. Ultimately, their goal is to sell their own brand of bra, which if you know me by now, isn’t, in my opinion, the best decision, as all bras and brands fit differently and don’t work for every woman. Secondly, I would go to a site that has an actual bricks and mortar store, someone who is reputable in terms of their expertise when it comes to professional bra-fitting.

That being said, after much research of all thing bras and breasts on the web, the only company I would recommend is Breakout Bras. From what I know as a bra-fitter, they have the appropriate customer support as well as a fitting guide that actually has merit, it can get you to your bra size or pretty close from my opinion, which is technically, unheard of. That, coupled with the expert fitting experience of Melissa, you can be pretty assured that they will be able to find the right bra for you. They also have a great return policy if the fit isn’t right.

Again, I only recommend buying bras on-line as a last resort to a professional bra fitting, but if you HAVE to, see Melissa, she is fantastic.

And that is all you will ever hear from me in terms of buying bras via the internet.

Off my soapbox now:)

When can I buy a bra? I’m due in April with #2. I’m currently a 36DD, so I’m not sure how big I will get. Granted I’m still nursing Cayden, so I’m not sure how small I’ll get when the milk dwindles.
